Aaliyah Haughton made headlines in 1994, when she dropped her first album Age Ain't nothing but a number. At the age of 15, the album achieved Gold standing. The collaboration was highly influenced by R. Kelly, and helped put her in the spotlight. In 1996, she debuted her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the hit number one track If Your Girl only was aware. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals on the release of this album. However, she has also used Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. She started her acting career as a minor actor in TV and film roles, but her popularity increased in the mid 2000s. Some of her other notable work include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She has also been featured in commercials of major brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting profession.
