Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive mix of gospel-soul jazz R&B and R&B. She's performed all over from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European party and concert scenes. Sunshine was born Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta however, her ancestors are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as a musician, playing instruments and singing in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her journey to become a musician on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and it's a major part of her live show. Her voice has also been a part of voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was hired to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage musical Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention in the course of four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
